Yahoo signs users in with their Yahoo account. Its user base skews toward long-lived consumer email addresses, which makes it a useful secondary connector on mainstream products.
Copy the redirect URI
In the Authdog console, select the project and environment, open Authentication > Providers, find Yahoo, and click Enable. Copy the redirect URI shown in the form:

- Open the Yahoo Developer Network app page and create an app.
- Set the Application Type to Web Application.
- Set the Redirect URI to the redirect URI from Authdog — Yahoo requires HTTPS.
- Under API Permissions, enable Profiles (Social Directory) read access.
- Copy the Client ID (Consumer Key) and Client Secret (Consumer Secret).
Configure Authdog

Save, then toggle the connection active.
What Yahoo returns
Authdog requests the openid profile email scopes and reads the profile from https://api.login.yahoo.com/openid/v1/userinfo.
The userinfo endpoint returns the sub identifier, name, email, and email verification flag.
Yahoo rejects plain HTTP redirect URIs outright, so local development needs a public HTTPS host.
Test it
- Open your environment's hosted sign-in page, or link to
https://identity.authdog.com/api/v1/signin/<connectionId>. - Select the Yahoo button and complete the flow.
- Confirm the user appears under Users in the console with a Yahoo identity linked.
