TikTok signs users in with their TikTok account. It fits creator tools and consumer apps whose audience arrives from TikTok in the first place.

Copy the redirect URI

In the Authdog console, select the project and environment, open Authentication > Providers, find TikTok, and click Enable. Copy the redirect URI shown in the form:

https://identity.authdog.com/api/v1/callback/<connectionId>

Create the TikTok app

  1. Open the TikTok for Developers portal and register an app.
  2. Complete the app details — name, icon, category, description, and the terms and privacy URLs. TikTok checks these during review.
  3. Add the Login Kit product.
  4. Under Redirect URI, paste the redirect URI from Authdog.
  5. Request the user.info.basic scope.
  6. Submit the app for review, and wait for approval.
  7. Copy the Client Key and Client Secret.

Configure Authdog

Field Value
Client ID The TikTok Client Key
Client Secret The TikTok Client Secret

Save, then toggle the connection active.

What TikTok returns

Authdog requests user.info.basic and reads the profile from https://open.tiktokapis.com/v2/user/info/ — an open ID, display name, and avatar.

No email address is available at this scope, and TikTok does not offer an email scope for Login Kit. Users arriving through TikTok have a display name and an identifier only, so pair this connector with one that provides a contact address, or ask for an email after sign-up.

TikTok's identifiers are app-scoped: the same person authorizing two of your apps produces two different open IDs.

Test it

  1. Add your test account under the app's tester list if the app is still in review.
  2. Open your environment's hosted sign-in page, or link to https://identity.authdog.com/api/v1/signin/<connectionId>.
  3. Select the TikTok button and authorize.
  4. Confirm the user appears under Users, with no email — expected for this connector.
