Active users, not a retention filter

Authdog

Every self-serve plan includes one million monthly active users. Team starts at $19 per month for three seats, with enterprise SSO, provisioning, audit logs, and authorization included.

Clerk

Clerk bills on monthly retained users, not MAU. A user counts only if they return at least 24 hours after signing up. Pro and Business include 50,000 per app, then $0.02 per user down to $0.012 at volume.

B2B

Organizations without a second price line

Authdog

Organizations, tenant-aware sessions, SAML and OIDC SSO, SCIM and HRIS provisioning, audit logs, and vanity custom domains share one data model and console.

Clerk

Organizations are included up to 100 monthly retained organizations and 20 members each. Unlimited members, linking enterprise connections to organizations, verified domains, and custom roles sit in the $100 per month B2B Authentication add-on.
